My journey

My Story

Hello, Welcome to Her Essence Revived. My name is Tiffany Wimbish, and I am a Fibroid Warrior. In 2018, I was diagnosed with Uterine Fibroids. By the time I received this diagnosis, my fibroids had already taken over my life. For years, I convinced myself that my symptoms—anxiety, heavy periods, dry brittle hair, and cystic acne—were just 'normal.' I later learned that these were signs of a deeper issue, including painful intercourse in women, which is often overlooked. My journey with fibroids has been life-changing, and today, I’m on a mission to provide fibroid support, educate other women, and share self-healing tips for those experiencing similar struggles. Together, we can navigate this journey towards hormone hair wellness and heal, one step at a time.

Uterine Fibroid FAQS

What are Uterine Fibroids

Above is an image of a Normal Uterus and a Uterus with Fibroids. Uterine Fibroids, also known as Leiomyomas, are non-cancerous tumors that consist of muscle fibers. Their sizes can range from that of a pea to a melon. Fibroids can appear in various locations within the uterus, impacting women's health, including issues like painful intercourse in women. For those seeking fibroid support, it's essential to understand the types of fibroids: Intramural fibroids develop in the muscular uterine wall, submucosal fibroids form just under the lining of the uterus and protrude into the uterine cavity, while subserosal fibroids grow under the surface of the outer uterine wall and extend outside of the uterus. Addressing concerns such as painful sex dyspareunia is vital, and exploring self-healing tips, including hormone hair wellness, may also provide relief.

Fibroid Symptoms

Uterine fibroids can exist without causing pain or discomfort. However, many may face common symptoms, including heavy or prolonged periods lasting 10 or more days, difficulty emptying the bladder, frequent urination, or constipation. Some women may also experience lower back or leg pain, bleeding between cycles, or a protruding abdomen, along with pelvic pain or pressure. Additionally, painful intercourse in women, often referred to as dyspareunia, can be a significant concern. For those seeking fibroid support, incorporating self-healing tips and focusing on hormone hair wellness can be beneficial.

Testing for Uterine Fibroids

Uterine fibroids can be diagnosed through a pelvic exam and/or a transvaginal ultrasound, which can be performed by your obgyn or family doctor. While most women experience minimal pain during the transvaginal ultrasound, some might feel pressure on the bladder. For those dealing with painful intercourse in women, such as painful sex dyspareunia, seeking fibroid support and exploring self-healing tips can be beneficial. Additionally, hormone hair wellness can also play a role in overall reproductive health.
